I missed last night's Channel 4 Programme on Psoriasis (Embarrassing Illnesses). I've seen a clip of the start of it on the Channel 4 website, but you need to download some software to see the whole programme. Can anyone who watched the programme tell me - was the doctor able to offer any cure for the man's psoriasis? And if so, what was the treatment?

Can't tell you abou the programme, but having got 4oD on my pc, I can say there is really no problem in having it installed - I find it very handy.

If you don't get an answer might be worth changing your mind.
This programme was a repeat, so i watched something else. But im pretty sure from memory that she was told to go on the sunbed once a week and it cleared up
You can watch that part of the programme on here Archie:

Many thanks to you all, especially to Smudge for the link, which confirmed what GoWest said - it was the UVB treatment which relieved the condition. Also to Postdog for assurance that Channel 4 On Demand is easy to instal - I'll give it a try.
my fathers suffered from psoriasis for 40 years and tried every cream and remedy going and none of them have ever worked, that was until last year when a new cream came out which has all but cleared it up, he cant believe it, i cant rem exactly what its called, i'll have to ask him but it may be movelat or something like that.

Gucciman - thank you for this info. I did a Google search for 'Movelat' and sure enough, it exists as a pharmaceutical product, but for "Pain relief for mild arthritis, rheumatism and muscular pain" - not for psoriasis. Was it really this product that cured your Dad's psoriasis, or have you got confused - is it perhaps another product? If it is, I'd be very interested to know what's it's called.
