have i got flu??

Hi all had a cold since last thursday and since yesterday i have felt so much worse here are my symptoms that have come on since yesterday... glands up in groin neck and under chin cant put my chin to chest hurts too much, sore throat got white bits when i look, chesty cough thats becoming quite phlegmy yuck and dont smoke and have had about 4 cold sores erupt!! Do i self treat as dont want to waste docs time if its flu feeling quite sorry for myself!!! Thanks all numnut xx

Sounds like flu to me....bed, plenty of fluid, analgesics and see how it goes over the next 48 hrs.....good luck.

Keep an eye on it in case it's developed into a throat infection or something like tonsillitis.

Sounds like your system has got a bit run down so make sure you get plenty of fluids and fruit and veg and get some vitamin C in you.

You can get the tablets which dissolve into a drink which may be better for your throat too while it's sore.
