I want to stop smoking but I can't afford the patch. I know people say that you can afford it since you spend all that money on cigarettes. What they don't understand is that I don't have that money all at once to buy the patch. I only work 2 days a week. How do I stop smoking?

You can go to your GP and get patches on prescription.
Or ask for the anti smoking tablet's alc. See a few posts down:-)

hi, I'm sorry but I'm a non smoker so really don't understand the feelings of withdrawal. I did pick up from your question that you work 2 days a week. Are you allowed to smoke at work? If not, maybe you could try to do more days. This way you won't be able to smoke whilst you are there, and you will earn extra money to pay for nicorette chewing gum/ lozengers. Sorry I can't help anymore. I wish you all the very best and hope you will get the help you need.

I work in a pharmacy and we do smoking cessation where you talk through with a trained member of staff, you then decide which product would suit you and all you pay is a one off 6.65 at the start and 6.65 at the end. you can go back any time and have a chat and they will support you. Its very successful :)
Allan Carr's "Easy Way to stop Smoking" is brilliant. He makes total and utter sense. Video is preferable but book is available in most libraries. Also you can smoke and read.

Grasp the moment when you feel strong enough in your mind to stop smoking. It does'nt come along that often. Good luck and it is easier than you believe.
correction : doesn't (apostrophe was in wrong place). ....... and you think you got problems!
