Since there's no other category to post this in - except Home & Garden, which is all garden questions - I'll ask you guys.

I walk King (who weighs 52 pounds) and Duchess (who weighs 43 pounds) using a coupler attached to a retractable leash, usually every day. But I didn't walk them yesterday because it was my birthday and I was expecting company.

So today I go to walk them and they are so excited that they behaved atrociously ... as a matter of fact ... I am soooooo MAD at them that they are lucky I love them or they'd be on their way to the pound right now. They drug me so hard and so fast that I took a fall in the street.

My left knee has a quarter size area of raw skin ... my left palm has a dime size area where the skin is peeled back to the muscle ... and my whole right knee is completely torn up with patches of exposed muscle.

Needless to say, my favorite yellow, cotton outfit is all bloody. Do any of you know how to get blood completely out of cotton so that it doesn't leave a stain?

Don't worry ... I won't take them to the pound ... but I did bring them directly back home ... with a stern reprimand ... and just to reinforce my anger ... I locked them outside for awhile ... but I did put a bowl of water out for them ... and I'll let them back in ... in about an hour ...

I used to be a medic, and hydrogen peroxide was great at removing blood stains from my cotton uniform.

Sorry you got so injured - you sure you don't need stitches??

Thanks ... I would never have thought of hydrogen peroxide.

There's no way my injuries can be stiched because the areas of exposed muscle are so large that stiches wouldn't even begin close them.

So I cleaned all of the wounds with hydrogen peroxide, put triple antibiotic ointment on them, and then bandaged them. Hopefully, if I continue to keep them clean and use the ointment they'll heal. But if there's any sign of infection setting in I will go to the doctor. God knows I'm going to have some bad scars though.

I even took a painkiller ... so right now I'm not quite as mad at the Little Monsters ...
