I meant George, not Gordon. However, I see it was actually Ted.
What an insult £10 goes nowhere these days, it's about time those in power started living in the real world like the rest of us!
Well £10 on top of the £200 aint bad
That link mentions higher winter fuel payments(in 2009) of £250...ha!!! That didn't last long, and I'm sure the current payment of £200 is worth less also.
Hey there secsee, please forward any and all offensive tenners to me and I'll make sure they're disposed of.
Got mine too , will pay for one pressie - Ta, whoever.
and don't forget when you reach 80 you get a whole 25p extra per week!
How old do you have to be to get the £10. My OH said it was 85...
I have got mine, can't get over the excitement.
Social Welfare recipients in Ireland always received an extra week as a bonus, with the austerity budgets that was stopped, in the last budget they agreed to pay 3/4 of the bonus for Christmas, so anyone on €200 received that plus €150 last week for Christmas.
That will pay for the grandkids selection boxes.
Hope mines in my bank after all they stopped the winter fuel allowance because when they did the temperatures here they included Ceuta and the Canaries which are obviously warm!
When the bonus was first introduced it was equivalent to a week's pension.
When do I start getting mine?
