What Is This Instrument?

daughter got a load of instruments for christmas. One is a wooden tube on a handle (hollow tube) that comes with a wooden stick, you either hit the tube or there are some grooves in it, and you can slide the wooden stick up and down for a different sound. What is it called? I remember something similar in the school music room
