I've tried reinstalling but nothing works . I still get "IE not working "even when I'm not using it in any way. I've tried making Chrome the default browser, but AB still stops working with the message IE has stopped working .

I have checked out every site on my PC and it's only AB that giving me trouble . I've reinstalled it two or three times but after a few minutes it stops working , with the message IE not working.
Re-installed what exactly?
Odd, no bother at all here. Mac and Firefox.

erm have you tried.... prayer ?
Methyl why the rather ominous use Chrome on a Windows OS at your own risk? I had to switch to Chrome because AB (only) was constantly freezing and crashing on IE7.
I have had nothing but problems with Chrome on Windows XP I always get viruses, I refus near Chrome now, I dont get the problems with other browsers.

Im thinking that Modeller has installed the Answerbank app on a mobile device maybe?

methyl
//What Operating System and version are you running, and which version of Internet Explorer appears to be playing up?// 1. Vista Home !
2. IE 9 but it is not my home page.

Ratter I'm using a desk top .

IMO the important point is that it is only Answer Bank that is giving trouble.
Modeller, Answerbank is a web site not a programme, you don't have to install anything.

Use Firefox as your browser.
slack alice //Re-installed what exactly? // Answer Bank !

Answerbank is just a website like this http://www.theanswerbank.co.uk/
no installation necessary.

I use Firefox as a browser and its set as my default. I've got IE11 and Chrome but only use them as a reference tool.

I'd leave IE9 alone because its getting old and frail now and d/l Mozilla Firefox.

Sarcasm gets you everywhere!

RATTER I know it's not a programme but it still has to be " Installed " put on to the PC. What other term do you use ?

My point was if I remove the AB site from the PC and then put it back I still get the trouble. .
You cant install a website, you access it by going to the website via your browser, it is not on your PC or anyone elses, you may have a shortcut that directs your browser to AB. but it is not installed. Your problem appears to be with your browser, not AB.

slack alice. What puzzles me is , Why I'm getting the message when using AB ( I E has stopped working. A problem caused the programme to stop working correrctly ,windows will close the programme and notify you if a solution is available. ) . I'm not even using IE as my default and it's only the AB site that's giving trouble.
PS What sarcasm are you referring to. ? Certainly none intended .
I'm just looking for help .

I may try Firebox again . I did use it when it first came out but there were bugs and I dropped it.
