First time I've posted on one of your threads, WB. I'm just going to bed as I'm 5 hours behind you. I do believe that I envy your life-style. Is it a business you operate, or are you just fortunate enough to wend your way through the intricacies of the English canal system on a whim? Anyway, fair sailing, so to speak.

I'm actually an ex-soldier. Got the scars and medals to prove it. But a peaceful life is all I want. I can get stroppy if I have to, but it's not often necessary. Much prefer to make friends and have fun. :o}

Morning stewy. I'm a Boat Master for Cotswold Canals Trust. We operate three trip boats on various parts of the Cotswold canals. Today I'm skippering a lunch charter to the Tudor Arms on the Gloucester and Sharpness canal. Excellent food they do, well I've been eating there for twenty years!

Morning all. This early is not my natural time of day so may try to get some more kip. Doesn't seem to have rained overnight here in Staffordshire so here's hoping for a nice day. shant be doing much though as I have pulled a hamstring, gives me an excuse to get on with my book though ;-)
