Not sure where to put this so it's going here ;)

On Monday evening a chap came off his bicycle outside my house and hurt himself, the ambulance came and decided to take him to the hospital. I offered to put the bike in my back garden as it would've been pinched had it been left at the side of the road, the bloke gave a thumbs up and one of the medics brought it over and into my garden.

Now, I'm a bit concerned for the bike as I've no way of covering it, it's been sitting out in the thunderstorms we've had this week. Do I have any responsibilty for it, and what do I do if he doesn't come to get it? Apparently he was drunk so might not remember where it is!

I'm sorry but that made me laugh. That's the kind of thing that would happen to me.

You could charge him storage :-)

Is the bike decent?

How about "Wet bike in garden going cheap"
lol, give it a week. if you have a cover i would cover it, otherwise i wouldn't bother
mcmouse that could get rocky into trouble...... :-)
lol...imagine the response she might get!!
Wouldn't want rocky saddled with that fluff. Lol
I would think it unlikely that he will remember where it is. Could you contact the hospital and ask them to pass on your address to him?
Sell it ! then deny all knowledge of it if he comes back.;-)

Lol. You lot are a right laugh.

The front wheel is completely buckled but the rest of it looks okay.

I did think of ringing the hospital, but I was concerned I'd be wasting their time as they must be very busy, bearing in mind I don't know his name or what hospital he was taken too.

I told the medic my door number but she didn't seem very impressed with the fact that he was three sheets to the wind so might not have told him.
Oh Rocky poor chap been abducted and they knicked his bike ! Pop to your local police station. They may have details of the accident.
ask the local paper to put a piece in, or a letter
Question Author
Oh flump, our nearest police station is never open, the only time in the last couple of years that I've seen any activity there was when they were using the cells for rioters.

That might be a way to go Fluff :)

I'll give it a few more days, he may have broken a leg and can't get out.
I think you should keep it and use it to make a quick exit when strange ginger men take a liking to you....

Cycle for hills..............
I wonder, was it a stolen bicycle ? Then in a few weeks or so stick it on free cycle.
Question Author
Lol Ummm, I don't think I could cycle fast enough. I'm bring trainers next time!
Question Author
Jeez, didn't think of that flump, maybe I'll get put in Holloway for receiving ;)
Somebody was distracting that fella. ;-)
Question Author
Lol Dusty, poor man!
Put a notice in your local paper - if not collected by the end of August, you'll scrap it (not sure if it's legal to do that, though!)
