Private dentist

My uncle (an elderly gent) recently visited the dentist and needed a couple of fillings in the future. He informed us that when he left he was given a small lunch bag full of crisps, water etc. on two occasions. Has anyone else had this experience at the dentist. I've never heard of this before?

Do you think that your uncle might be a bit confused about something? I've certainly never heard of a dentist handing out crisps to anyone!
maybe he's being sponsored by Walkers... that does sound strange.
He picked up the receptionists lunch from the desk on his way out...
Lol @ rowan. :)
My daughter pays a fortune for her dentist and comes home with all sorts of goodies - never had food given to her though.
the only thing Ive been given is the bill.
