On the basis that you should never believe anything in politics until it has been officially denied, are we looking at Mr Posh as the next PM?

I'm not sure. He's only been an MP for 7 years, and has in that time virtually never expressed an opinion that is his own. His whole career has just been either a mouthpiece for his investor mates, lobbyists, or occasionally his church.

Of course, that doesn't mean he isn't ambitious. But it does make me doubt that he has the political capital necessary to pull off a leadership bid. I think it's more likely that rumours about him standing are being floated by the pro-Remain/pro-Soft Brexit faction in the Conservative party. But that's just speculation on my part.
It's a distinct possibility, although I believe him when he says he has no current ambition. He is unflappable, a conviction politician and keen-witted. I would think that when Mrs. May steps down, having done her duty (she can no longer think of herself as another Mrs. T.) he will be high on the list of potential successors. He'd be a good counter-balance to Jeremy C. i.m.o..
Davis for PM
Boris - Chancellor
JRM - BREXIT minister.

Next time round JRM for pm.
I still say it will be Boris next time.
I sincerely hope not.
THE NEXT PM , Well it certainly will not be a member of the Conservative Party.
Do you have any idea of how the system works? or any idea on how anything works for that matter?
"THE NEXT PM , Well it certainly will not be a member of the Conservative Party."

So Mrs May will serve as PM until 2022, then?
AH , The Darling Buds of May, eh.
Wonderfully comical.

It would be nice, though, if you could sensibly join in the debate and address the points people raise.
He comes across as quite a reasonable guy (for a Tory) but popularity doesn't always go with leadership suitability. That said, I recall when someone the papers called Bambi got in; turned out to be someone able to force things through all over the shop. Not for the better either.
I hope so.

Someone even more unelectable than Corbyn.
Looked at Paddypower website earlier. Their current odds are 3-1 David Davis and 6-1 Rees-Mogg. Interesting I thought.
I really do wish that some people would understand the blindingly obvious truth that socialism doesn't work.
If the Tories go for Davis or Rees-Mogg they're done for.
If truth be know, there aren't an awful lot of options.
Much as I don't care for him, Michael Gove would be the man,.
He now has too much baggage I suspect though.
There's an Asian chappie been touted, but I cannot remember his name. He'd be one for the future.
It works just fine scooping. It's simply politics that put the people and community first, rather than prioritise those able to attract society's wealth towards their own bank balance.
Old Geezer: You must live in a parallel universe.
Javid, ich ?

Parallel to the one where delusion is touted as fact, for sure.
