Doing an access project and cant use the first tense "I did ...." "I think...." have to use the word researcher. but every paragraph starts with "the researcher....." and it sounds monotonous. As im not very good at english and dont know how to rephrase it differently....any brainboxes on here? posted on this section cos its a popular one and thanks in anticipation

you could introduce some variation with the use of the passive voice - instead of saying (for instance) 'the researcher ticked the box' just say 'the box was ticked', if it's already clear from the context that it was you who ticked it.

If it fits you could use phrasing like...

Subsequently, consequently, as expected/required, as a result, next, initially, finally, prior to x...etc...
