wow, that's taken a while - I thought they were aiming to get them out in time for Christmas; my sisters got one each (not from me). Glad they're all in one piece for you. How many have you got?
Mine arrived at my nieces today,we checked it over and there's no damage. Not giving it to Trish until the presentation case arrives then I'll wait till she goes out stick it on the wall and see how long it takes for her to notice.
Good news Maggie. My two arrived a couple of weeks ago. They look beautiful. Took me a little while to assemble them. Also they were both a bit grubby and dirty on the stems but I left them like that. It' s authentic Tower of London mud so I just left them the way they were. Wish I could've afforded a few more though.
I left the soil and rust on mine too Jan, it's all part of it.
If anyone's looking for something to display theirs, google metal stand for poppy and you'll see the brushed steel one I have. It's very contemporary and I'm really pleased with it. I'm also having the certificate framed, black metal frame, black mount with very thin red inner mount, should be ready tomorrow.
Aren't we all lucky to have one of these poppies? :)
Woof. There are still quite a lot to get out. They've all to be delivered by end of this month. I thought mine were never going to get here. They're also in a nice box. I'll keep that too.
Some have arrived a bit broken and as someone has already mentioned on a previous post, they too represent the soldiers who didn't make it back whole. They too were damaged so are therefore even more poignant.
