Some time ago he was 'warned off' for welshing on gambling debts. Did he ever clear them?

I know they're not recoverable by law so I've written it off. Wasn't a fortune, anyway.

Svejk, I'm sure I read somewhere that he was.
Just wish there were loads more rich people like him who contribute so much in taxes, even in death, that our public services can keep going...
I think its an interesting observation. gambling debts aren't recoverable by law. but why would very wealthy people avoid them?
Am I to understand from this post that when someone dies their gambling debts die with them?

Apparently gambling debts are recoverable in law and have been for some time
