Hello Ed !
Rowanwitch has put forward the suggestion that we should have a separate 'Bird' Forum in the Animals & Nature Section.
Could you please consider this as there are enough ABers interested in this delightful Hobby.
Could you please respond to this request AB Editor.
Many thanks if you can help.

It's a good thought redman. It would be interesting to see what other folk along with the Ed has to say on the matter. Both Viv and are supportive of the suggestion because we do get great pleasure from the birds which visit our garden and enjoy the sighting of sea-birds which are active on our local beaches in Gower.

+1 vote.
Not sure about a seperate category for it to be honest, unless perhaps get rid of enviroment. Would one of those permenant stickies like on the weight loss thread be better? It would always be there then.

That said, I don't really give a monkeys either way :c)
Monkeys? ...
Parrot then....
I'd like it too please. It could cover the wild bird questions as well as bird-spotting, and also parroty-type questions for people who keep birds.
(I didn't know you were in Gower, Ron - my late dad was born in Sketty.)
Hi boxtops.....Sketty is a suburb of Swansea and is only about five miles away from where Viv and I live on the edge of the Gower peninsular. In fact Viv was born in Sketty. I always say that I was born in a Remand home in Swansea....it was a Nursing Home at the time but closed and its function changed.

We are very fortunate to be living where we are and have counted as may as two dozen different types of birds seen from our windows. Some in the garden and others in the fields behind our house.

I would like to see this being a member of the RSPB with a lot of birds coming into the garden.
being unknowledgeable about too many bird species, I think it would be a good idea to have a seperate category if only to educate me. hello ed :)
I would prefer a separate category too as opposed to a sticky like the weight loss one, as although I would be interested in the contents, I don't always have the time to trawl through loads of posts, so tend to avoid it altogether which is a shame.
Come on Ed, don't give this one 'the bird'.!!!

Ron
Thank you everyone...I think a permastick like weightloss would be really helpful...there are obviously a lot of us who love our birds be it garden, or chasing rarities over freezing cold mudflats...
Keep it going til Monday Ed comes on duty, weekend Ed looks busy !
we will do our best...the bird thread is going well for a nopn CB subject I can see a spate of daily garden reports...
I also vote for a separate category rather than a sticky. I'd like to see different postings and questions, not one long thing to trawl through.

If as Rowan suggests, a separate Bird Category in Animals and Nature would enable Posters to Post each and every day with their own observations.
It would be very useful and interesting as the whole of the UK would be covered.
Excellent idea, what about it Ed?
Good day to you all: http://www.theanswerb...t/Question958202.html
