Newcastle or Sheffield?

Hi there! If you were to choose to live in Newcastle or Sheffield as a young professional, what would you choose?
I've lived in Newcastle for many days, absolutely loved it but I've also heard nice things about Sheffield, though I've never been there personally...Taking into consideration factors as nightlife, friendliness of people and generally life quality, which one would you suggest?

I can vouch for Sheffield!, Originally from Scotland but I have settled really well in Sheffield! Really good pubs and great friendly people!

City centre leaves a lot to be desired shops wise but there is Meadowhall and Manchester and Leeds are both only 30 miles away!
