As you can see, in work not a problem to post. At home in the evening, just not happening.

Just need to know if I need to re-register a name for home use or if it's a problem my end? I don't seem to have any problems signing in to other sites I use so it does seem to be an AB

Cheers

I've been having trouble in the evening; in my case I suspect it's Virgin fault (they provide my broadband): probably just too many people in the neighbourhood on the internet and not enough bandwidth to cope. Evenings are always going to be the worst time and perhaps it's that rather than your computer or AB's?

There was a cull of user names recently jno, (I think Dot and Octavius were also casualites) so it could well be AB. However it seems that I'm fine if I pop on at work but when I'm home, if I put my login and password in, it seems to think it's been done but never shows the 'welcome back China Doll' bit, just that I'm not signed in.

I wouldn't mind but I'd just like to know if I need a user name for the evening since I tend to come on here more after work if at all. It's vaguely irritating as well obviously.
I've logged on to AB in this username from lots of different computers without problem.

Try a different browser.
mine did that for a while. I suddenly couldnt post from 1 of 3 computers

I deleted all cookies and history etc from the computer and then i managed to log in fine.
hi CD, it might be the history thing, if you have already logged in and not logged out then signed in at home maybe. That confused me and so i am not sure if it makes sense lol

Well I always shut my computer down completely at work so I guess would be logged out but I shall do so when I leave.

I'm guessing those cookies are not going to be the same kind I dunk in my coffee so I'm also guessing Juggering or Chuck Fickens will need to go in to hiding tonight or spend the evening using very small words in order for my infamous technical abilities to keep up.

I don't think I have another browser. My internet just opens when my dongle thingy has connected to the internet.
You can download firefox or google chrome, China.

You will still be able to use IE, nothing will change, except you will have a different browser if and when you want to use it.
on Ethel's advice i have started to try firefox again and this time it seems to be really good, on my home page i have msn but with a link to hotmail and so i don't need to open messenger and hotmail in IE anymore either and Firefox has some really good features that i find alot clearer than IE.
on internet explorer, got to tools menu at top of page and click delete browsing history, then just delete
tempory internet files
cookies
and history.

I know Firefox. I'll try that when I get home.
There seem to have been upgrades appearing last week that interfered with my connexions.

Had to re-download firefox (over one already installed) - that fixed the BB/connexions & speeds.

First prize to Ethel! Cheers lass... Much more use than the AB Ed and indeed the Techy team!

Oh! Good ho, China. :)

I mainly use Firefox but it is useful to be able to swap between browsers as sometimes some pages just don't seem to open properly on one, but will be fine on another.
