limited posts perhaps?

right, i might get slaughtered for this suggestion and it is NOT aimed at anyone in particular but maybe there should be a limit on the amount of questions that any one poster posts within a 24 hour period.

Questions that were posted around 10ish last night have been pushed right back 4 pages, we have to wade through 3-4 pages of nonsense before we can see the latest, (proper) posts from the night before.

Im not having a dig at anyone but it is so bloody dull now. Surely im not the only one who is sick of it. I think its a shame that questions that are fun, or questions where genuine answers are required will go unnoticed because of this.

You must know the definition of trolling as well as anybody, and if last night's mess of drivel was not enough then I don't know what is. Repeated offensive insults to other users etc etc.

Cyber political correctness ? A mind like nonuts simply has to respond if poked, that's why people poke him. The nature of his response is not the fault nor the responsibility of the poker, but his alone. It gets him riled, but to desist for fear of arousing his knight in shining armour wrath is a non-starter. He needs to behave as an adult. To tippy-toe over eggshells in his case is too correct.

I hope he enjoys the Eagles concert.
Limited posting (or at least posting more than 2 topics or responses in quick succession) is supported by the new Zeta AB site. plus

pmsl ... nice one.

Ethel has posted ... maybe the need the facts spelled out in huge letters ... this site is the same, with a few subtle differences.

1. No excessive advertising.

2. No abuse.

3. Ignore function.

4. Smileys.

5. 1 account per person, no greenies, no trolls, no spammers.

Try it, you might even like it.
Mme Irony, are you possibly touting for that site? It's certainly very busy at the moment.
maybe a cap on posts but not on replies? it would get rid of some of the random troll posting?
It only started in the week Whiffey, what do you expect? And of course I am touting for the site! Why else do you think I joined here?

But limits on the number of posts and replies are a part of the zeta site, Cazz. Try and post more than twice in a thread and the filters won't let you. Given that there are filters on multiple user names, that prevents the idiots having conversations with themselves.

Its no scam and no fake, and we are looking for mods now.
Mme Irony, sorry but I am a little suspicious. Your green username shows you to be either a new user to this site so why be so vociferous about it?

Well given that all you need is an email address and a username, you have nothing to use. The new site does not ask for anything that any other site does.

As for my green user name, I was a member of the old CB many moons ago, but I can't remember my user name or my password. Clearly it means that I have 2 login names, which the new site will not allow. :)

Lose - not use. How an edit facility would be useful here now.
Well given that we've veered wildly off the topic!

Mmm Irony- seeing as you're here and you seem to know what this AnswerBank is all about. Can you tell us answer a Q for me please?

If it's not associated with this site, why's it called AnswerBank and has its blurb on its front page and its rules and regulations word for word?

I did ask Miss Tress (is that you by the way?) on that site, the other day, but her answer was (deliberately?) vague.
good question boo
excellent question Boo. notice how Mme Irony is
working it to sell that site.
I dont like the layout of the site anyway, doesnt look professional, a bit of a cheap rip off, I would be interested to hear the answer to boos question Mme
OMG, you mean there is another website on the internet nobody told me about it. I guess we all have a choice to use one, both, all or none, seems a bit futile wasting time talking about one site on another though, don't you think?
No
I just checked, the rules aren't word for word, clearly you've read neither properly, and there are other AnswerBanks on the wonderful WORLDWIDE invention we call the Internet. Whatever the rules on both site, those on the zeta site will be adhered to and trolls, multiple user accounts and abuse WILL be removed.

The Zeta one has a Capital A and a capital B, thereby falling outside of any copyright.

What point are you trying to make, B00?

And I wouldn't say I am working to sell the site, but its true to say I belive in a site where there can be harmony rather than personal attacks, puerility and vitriol. There is at least one post every two or three days just lately on what is wrong with this site. So a site is born that does not have the things that are wrong with this and still no one is happy? Ultimately, I suspect you all love this site, trolls, abuse, threats and all but just need something to moan about.
Sounds alot better than here don't you think
No cazzzzz whopeeeee
the problems with this site can be remedied in the long term.

I think the answer we have now is that the zeta answerbank has nothing to do with this answerbank apart from being a poorer quality copy.

how do I go about cancelling my membership to the zeta site?
Mme Irony, you may have a point about the people here. I fear they doth protest too much, possibly?
actually I feel like I have been duped into joining the zeta site on the pretence that it looks very much like the original answerbank site.
