Tuesday. Not quite so nippy this morning. Tiggy was still on patrol when I went for a walk at about 3.30. Not much wildlife about though.

Some running around to do today, then I ought to tackle some of the weeds in the garden.

The things I sow don't seem to grow.
I'm sorely disenchanted.
But Oh what luck I have
With things I never planted.

Have a happy day everyone.

G'day Boaty, your thumbs must be as green as mine.
I only buy plants that thrive on neglect, it takes longer for them to wither away.
How was the pie yesterday?

Afternoon oz. Sounds about right mate. Whit I know about gardening would fin on a pinpoint in large type.

The pie was up to standard mate, so was the ale. :o}

A clear sky this morning, so I'm hoping it will be a bit warmer.
Fingers crossed for you weather wise.
Chilly starts and finishes to our days now but its warmed up nicely during.
Haven't had a frost yet but it wont be long before I'm scraping the windscreen in the morn.

Thanks mate. No frost this morning and the sky is clear. A lot of weeds to fight with. I'll do what I can.
Do most of our weeding with a couple of different herbicides but I guess with Tiggy mooching around you'd have to be pretty careful with what you used.

Exactly mate. We always did the organic way, I continue to do so, as much as possible anyway. I don't want tiggy eating poisoned food.
I find a good mulch on the garden beds works a treat. Old lucerne bales that have started to go mouldy spread 6" thick last a couple of years, suppresses weeds and feeds the plants. Don't know if farmers grow the stuff over there but here I can buy a couple of ton pretty cheaply.
Time I hit the road, have a good day.

I don't think it is available here oz. Vera used to keep it looking wonderful. I don't have her skill. Gardening has never been my thing. I probably do more harm than good.

Have a good'un mate. :o}
