Yesterday afternoon the doorbell rang and I answered the door to two very smartly dressed (suited and booted) young American men, both wearing "Jesus Saves" badges. Before they could open their mouths I said I was ill and was not interested in what they had to say. They then asked if there were any chores they could do for me. I must admit for a split second I thought about asking them to mow the lawn, but I declined their offer and closed the door. I was just wondering which religious group they represented?

They were from the Whitby Neighbourhood Help Group.

They go around, trying to engender a spirit of goodwill in the Whitby community.

They have no hidden agenda. They are just nice, helpful, genuine people.

Of course, some people just close the door on them.

You could easily do the journey in 3 days. That is allowing for 78 changes of train and half a day spent at border control exchanging your money for sheep and fish :-)
