Me too! We'll see!
Just to explain to anyone who wasn't aware of the reasons for moving Crosswords to a top-level topic:

* Many complained that Q&P is full of crossword questions
* Many complained that Crosswords is hard to find for new members
* Crosswords is the second biggest category on AB (and thus deserves top-level status)
I don't think it's working too well Ed
It'll take a bit of time as some regulars will automatically go to Q&P until they spot the Crosswords section just below it. I have been pointing it out politely when I provide answers but I may stop as I know some people regard it as acting as 'the section police'
Also, thoughIi understand why it is still by Q&P, when I noticed bibble's post I looked for crosswords in the alphabetical list, but it's not under c...

Hopefully people will get used to it
Morning chelle x
Hi mazie x
I am still tempted to go to Phrases and Sayings to find the Jokes section and I use it every day so it will take a little while for crossword fans to realise they have been promoted to a section of their own.
Would be better if placed properly in the Topics....like all the others in alphabetical order.
When I first read the OP I thought it was a Cryptic Clue to which an answer was required.

Ron.
I think it is okay where it is for now- at least the many existing users who look for Q&P may spot the Crossword topic directly below it, and new users will also look down until they see one that best fits.
I'm assuming it's not possible to list it twice for now.
Why have the list in alphabetical order then?
I agree with factor, I'm sure it will be moved when people know it's been moved and not just removed from Q&P
How do you intend to persuade people to use the Crossword topic, though? E.g. if you look at this: http://www.theanswerb...Question1173347.html, even though the thread is in the wrong section, it has been answered correctly. As it stands, there is simply no need for anyone to use the Crosswords section for crossword questions.
As for mark's comment, it's the same point I suppose,as whether we should answer questions where posters don't provide the clue or details of letters. I prefer to offer an answer if I can (because I like to help and if I don't someone else will) and point out the lack of letters (or say it's the wrong section).

I suggest the Q&P guidelines need to be amended as they still include references to setting out crossword clues.
The Q&P page points out there is a separate Crosswords section but maybe that needs to be in larger text
I agree with Oracle, it should be in alphabetical order
Hmmm. A notification of the movement of the crossword section might have to be sent out.
Do you think the fine people of Crossword would like to be moved next to Chatterbank? I don't know if they'd put up with the noise!
I'm sure it will end up there but I can see the argument for putting it directly next to Q%P for now until people get used to it. I'd suggest leaving it where it is until after next weekend
I don't think they'd mind Ed and it makes more sense to keep to the alphabetical theme. If it's further away from Q&P it may prompt people to use it more
