Welcome to Title Builder Beta.

This small piece of kit is designed to make building your Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle question more effective. It should make finding your question easier for others and, the easier it is to find, the more likely someone is to answer it!

To build an easy to find question title simply select the paper and quiz, enter the quiz number if relevant and fill in the Publication Date. Once you’re happy click “Build Title” and the information should populate the Title field. Fill in the final required details of your question as you normally would, and click submit.

As this is a Beta we only have a limited number of papers and quizzes listed. If you think your favourite Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle should be listed here don’t hesitate to contact us.

Remember: You do not have to use the title builder - simply enter the title and question as you normally would and click submit!

Saturday Times Listener Crossword 4459 Shock Therapy. Finished But .....!

I think I have actually completed 4459 Shock Therapy, a Listener crossword which people on this forum think is anything more than a total doddle, so I am chuffed. However, I am struggling to match all the new words in the upper down clues to the relevant definitions. Several do not seem to match. eg Is 'figure' 8 d or 15 d and where does 'flap' fit in. It does not affect the overall answer grid but it is good to understand.

8d is a fish
15d is the figure
and flap is the defn for 9d

Thank you. Had no idea that 9d was a definition of flap. I think I better invest in the famous BRB. ( I did realise 8d was a fish, but unfortunately made an error in my question, as I meant 9d not 8d ie figure meaning a number .. ah well!) Thanks again.
