The sky is clear here after all the rain we had. Looks promising for a good sighting.

Clear here too I have a few youngsters coming round so I hope we get a good view then they will sleep tonight knowing Santa is on his way. lol
Fairly clear sky ( at the mo ) in the West Mids, Wendilla.
Obviously the further north you live the lower will be the elevation, but best not point that out to the children, the clever clogs among whom might wonder why it's not the opposite if he's coming from Lapland :-)

Hi ichkeria 5 6 and 7 year olds so I think I am safe in not having to answer technical questions
At 60degrees North it should be about 5 degrees north of the horizon so should be visible to all...

That's not a moon... It's a space station... Obi Wan Kenobi..Jedi Knight
Question Author
Slapshot don't tell the kids that lol
...am I the only one that always waves at the space station as it goes by?

Do you sometimes see them waving back ?

While i'm here - what is the story behind your name ?
Hi Bazile, no- unfortunately I need to go to specsavers to read my own writing, although I'm sure they must wave even if I can't see them ;-)

The name: Pea - my OH's nickname for me - shortened from sweetpea. (no idea why he started calling me that, but 14 yrs later the name stuck)(a bit embarrassing if he forgets to call me by my real name in public ;-)
And I like to pick up peculiar bits and bobs from car boots and antique fairs, so just bunged the two together and it looked ok.
Hows about yourself? a pseudonym, real or nickname?
