Have applied the treatment, he wasnt smothered in them just a few. Do I need to spray the house as well?

what treatment did you use?
if you used frontline or something like that, that is supposed to kill the larvae that's in your furniture too i think, it somehow interferes with their life cycle

It was prescribed by the vets. I dont think it was Frontline but of that ilk, definitely better than the stuff you pick up in supermarkets etc.

I'll read the packet tonight.
Just see how it goes, just treating the pet will usually do the job unless there was a big problem before the treatment.
Incidently, just a point of interest, most dogs are actually infested with cat fleas not dog fleas.

thats where my poor little boy got them from Ratter. We stayed at in-laws place for a few days and they have a flea ridden cat.
my vet told me that if you spot a coupe of fleas then the animal is already infested as fleas are very very good at hiding and you dont normally find them on their coats...
Gross huh!!!
I treated my furniture and carpets with Staykill household flea spray,better to be safe than sorry.
