Any ideas on how to stop a 9 month old kitten scratching the wallpaper of 2 corner walls. She is an indoor cat. I also have a cat who is 6 months older for her to play with.,they have plenty of toys and a activity centre scratching post. She mainly does this while I'm out at work.
Any help would be great. Thank you

Try putting pepper on the walls affected, it works for sofas, carpets etc. Cats get a nose full of pepper when they scratch it so don't do it.
Maybe she just misses you. Have you thought if leaving a talking radio station on for her, the voices might keep her calm.
She's probably bored. Do you live in a flat or do you have a garden she can explore? . Older cats often scratch to try and stretch their limbs to relieve the pain of arthritis but obviously this isn't the case with your at who is still barely a kitten. I think she needs more mental stimulation. The toys and activity centre aren't enough any more. She probably needs more human company to stimulate her interest. Cats are by nature hunters and need the stimulation of outdoor activity - birds and insects to watch and butterflies to chase. Is there any way she could be let outside for part of the day, even if she's supervised?
Hi suzanne,
Have you tried putting tin foil on the wall, most cats hate the noise it makes. In the past I've tested this method and it worked. Use Blue tac in several places to put it on the wall.
Hope this helps.
