The evil spawn of satan, otherwise known as Indi our cat, has scratched a corner of our livingroom wallpaper to buggery, so hubby on his way home today bought a fresh roll to cover it up.

What have we just caught the little sod doing? Yep, you've guessed it- scratching the roll of fresh wallpaper that's still sat on the kitchen table!

Bloody git!

Yes TTFN, usually mine!

I've already had to rescue her from the pan cupboard yet again today.
that would be right is you leave a roll of something in reach of the cat he will test his claws on it. mine ;oves to shred the loo roll.
That cute little bundle of fur and fun?

The one you saved up for?

The likkle kitten you drooled over?

"Be careful what you wish for" comes to mind :)
She must be getting really big now eh?

You should keep a spray bottle of water and skoosh her everytime she does it. Worked with Sooty scratching at my door every night! Lol!

Tried that erin, she just laughs at us- telling you nowt phases or frightens that cat.
erin, that didn't work on my water-loving newfi pup. He took to eating the wood panelling in the kitchen.

I bought some expensive no-gnaw and sprayed the panelling, liberally. He licked it off and went back to chewing the wood.

I then made up a lot of strong fresh Colman's English mustard. Piled it liberally on the wood and smiled at the dog.

He smiled back, licked all the bloody mustard off and then continued with chewing the wood.

I gave up, after that.
Don't talk to me about cats B00 ! Bloody things

I've coped with two toddler children mazie- they were nowhere near as hard work as the cat!
I know Daughter has just got a 3 year old rag doll. what a pain in the bum she is....I love her(the cat) but she ain't going to like anyone else very soon. So far she has got entangled in the blinds, hissed and scratched the Daughter but she loves me and the old man...which the Daughter can't come to terms with. I was talking to her(the Daughter) the other day and she said "hang on mum, I'm lying on the bed and the pillow has started to move" She'd been talking to me for 10 minutes and the cat was under the pillow...
Oh well lol! Sooty is a bit of a fairdy cat right enough!

Weird critters aren't they Mazie.

Mine has the unnerving habit of stealth staring, low to the ground, ears back back end wobbling, poised to pounce- then just when we're on the point of gibbering with fear for our limbs, she'll sit up and wash her paws and look at us as if to say "whatttt??"
We had the same problem with Molly, no sooner had I stuck a replacement strip of wallpaper up when she was back scratching at it! Thankfully she seems to have grown out of that - it's just the boy cats who continue to strip the wallpaper, even when we aren't planning to redecorate
Other than put mittens on the paws, you can't do much about it. Cats have scent glands between the toes and want to proclaim the wall as part of their territory.
human kids are just the same,I did this to my gran's wllpaper 50 years ago, using a toy gun,now a painter/decorating assassin
I once had 2 kittens who liked nothing better than chasing each other up the walls in our bedroom...the wall paper was shredded.
Now-I fill my big plant mister bottle several times a week in an attempt to put the fear of god in caspar - he just laughs at me when I get it out. I've even soaked him-and he still laughs...;-0
Oh lordy!I can just imagine putting 10 of those on a cat....

...and I'm not going to try.
