£48-86 for shampoo???
Lola has allergy problems which are more apparent with grass pollen , all told a bill for £109
Vets prices are way over the top but they know we pay them because we love our pets
Hi lB, yes we do , OH is calling at the vets this morning to query the bill, she wants to see Lola in two weeks time and he want to know have we paid this in advance?
We love her to bits and id remortgage our home for her if I had to but feel £46-88 for a 250 ml of shampoo is going a bit too far , I think he’s going to ask for her prescription off the vet .
have just been quoted between £350-£750 for a teeth descale and polish for the cat! even phoning around cheaper places they are still £200-400 assuming they are taking on new clients (most are not)
What on earth is happening? All of my cats lived long, healthy and happy lives - I've been very lucky with my pets - but not once did any of them have their teeth descaled and polished. Is that really a thing for cats now?
We are again looking closely at the bill and thing because the vet wants to see her again in two weeks time, coukd the £46-88p be her fee paid in advance ? Seem an odd amount though , my husbands going to call in to clarify this morning
Thanks all
Good luck with that Bobbi. Shall we take bets on whether or not you pay again next time?
At my local Pet Express, you can do your own pet shampooing. I don't know the charge but I'm sure it's a good deal less than £109!
Your vet will charge you around £25 for a prescription which will give you up to three shampoos. Its an easy process to buy online and email over a copy of the prescription I use petdrugsonline. Your consultation fee will have vat added which makes it an odd number. £40 + vat = £48
