It is catching on. Quite a few food prep businesses round me are doing the same as well as places in other parts of the country.

Playing devils advocate here (well sort of anyway) but isn't this some kind of solution to this problem? If the government had pledged money to helping feed school children during half term this would be funded from tax payers money anyway. Doing it through charitable sources cuts out the middle man. Millions have been raised and I'm happy to give a few quid here and there.
