Wednesday. A cloudy start again. Some wind blowing things about, not too bad though.Not a great deal to do today, A load of washing on, so might get a bit done i the garden later...then again I might not. We shall see.
Tiggy was busy having a rootle about when he finally came back, way after time for a civilised hedgehog to be in bed.
Lunch yesterday was disappointing, I had gammon steak, eggs and chips. All overcooked. The company, however, was as good as ever. So that made up for it.
Have a happy day everyone.

I water twice daily and last night I hears a rustling in the leaves. Couldn't see what it was. This morning I saw a baby common mynah hiding in the corner behind one of the trees. Two of the adults were flying around and screeching. So I've put a small pot of water and some seed where the fledgling can see it and not have to come out into the open. Don't see what else I can do. That is today's entry in the Abu Dhabi nature diary.
Morning Minty,hope all is well with you. As I now have an extended family,younger son is finally settling down . Lady he is marrying already has 6 children. I now have 6 extra grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Wedding is in October. You were right Boatie,just seen the two adult common mynahs going back and forth behind the tree.
Good morning all, looks like it's going to be a nice day here in Bedfordshire. What a lovely word is 'rootle' - I understand You made Tiggy a new home Boaty, how is he settling in?. We have a family of greater spotted woodpeckers visiting our back garden. Mum and dad both on the nut bags pecking away and baby sitting on the fence waiting to be fed - they are backwards and forwards 7/8 times a day, fascinating to watch.
Morning margo xxx Nice to see you. ;o}
I did indeed make Tiggy a new home. Tiggy Towers is a converted wooden bread bin, covered in three layers of floor damp proofing, so it's dry and is sited under a lavender bush, so it's well sheltered from wind and rain, shouldn't have any problems at all. He's settled in nicely.
I love watching woodpeckers, great fun. :o}
