Shoota, I won't be buying a shoota. I could not shoot anything. I don't even kill flies, if I can avoid it.

I will let the bird do the killing.
you'll have to get a spider for them, tilly.x
Question Author
We have plenty of spiders, sweety. Got a lovely big one, living in the coal scuttle. It comes out in the evening for a walk round.
Do you have coal, then tilly?
That sounds fab Tilly, lucky you - some photos would be great to see after in Jan.
Saw a display at Wisley Gardens a couple of summers ago and fell in love with the Bateleur eagle. Hope you have a great time learning it all :-)
Question Author
No, sweety, no coal. Just the scuttle from when we did have coal.

Thanks, peas. I'm looking forward to it.
god, I thought I was lazy.
Question Author
Who's lazy?
you haven't 'got around' to chucking your coal-scuttle out?
I'm like that, mind.
Question Author
Ah, I'm with you now. The coal scuttle is an antique. I am not going to throw it out. It's a storage receptacle for Tilly's toys, as well as being a dark, safe home for a great big spider.

Tilly - I presume that they supply the birds. Surely if the birds have done it before they will do what they think they should do instead of waiting for you give instruction.

Birds of prey are most certainly powerful and elegant hunters

Question Author
They do supply the birds, wolf. I don't know how it works. We'll have to wait and see.
I'm green with envy, tilly. I hope you enjoy the course.
Question Author
Thanks, rusty. I'm sure I will.
I've got a hobby, boom, boom.....
The Latin name for hobby is subueteo
Question Author
Hawk at you!
Question Author
Falco subbuteo
I stand corrected, tilly......'king retired teachers:-)
Question Author
OK, rusty. What is the difference between a hawk and a falcon? I genuinely don't know. Do you?
