I tried to read the story online the other day but the doggy drool was not a good thing to see at dinner.

I hope that the dog settles into its new home and has a happy life. She has been very badly treated by us humans. I was adopted by my last cat when he was well into his teens, after he trained me it felt like we had always been together. I found the training period to be very stressful.
