any thoughts.

Tomorrow's dinner was supposed to be roast beef with yorkshires etc, etc.
(we and will be) but was really tempted to buy a chook and roast it, would that have been a waste of the yorkies?

(I usually make me own yorkies but couldn't be bothered)

First course: Yorkies with onion gravy. Second course: Roast meat with yorkies, roast spuds, mash and veg. More onion gravy. Desert: Yorkies with Golden Syrup ( and maybe ice cream) You can always tell a Yorkshireman .......................................................... But you can't tell him much.

No - you can have yorkies with anything, I had them with chilli the other day.
I am having roast chicken with yorkies tomorrow. We like them with any joint, mind you they are Aunt Bessies.

oooh goody! (I love yorkshires, weren't they once served with fruit or something like that, originally?)

marval, mine were 59p from the lidl shop, last time we had them, they were nice, so a second pack has been purchased :-D
My Dad was a Yorkshire man, he liked them with jam. They used to have them separate before the meat .
Yorkshire pudding goes with anything or just by itself.
Ah thank you Alba, Lidl it is for me then.
I like Yorkshires with any roast dinner .Sometimes make a big one and fill it with beef casserole .
We used to have them cold with golden syrup if there were any left over .

12 for the 59p marval, handy when there's 4 of us in the house :-)
Mr F likes a couple no matter what the roast is, thanks Aunt Bessie :)

oooh, Shaney, I haven't done that for years, thank you. (note to self, make a big yorkshire for next weekend) x
Or we could have toad in the hole :)

which is always better than toed in the hole :-D
I used to be trad and only had yorkshires with beef but since the advent of Aunt Bessies they are a must with every roast.
I had roast gammon in the canteen on Wednesday and they served it with yorkshires. I love yorkshire puds. I just eat them on their own with gravy :o)
We are having Roast Chicken tomorrow. I might try serving Yorkshire pudding as well. I imagine they will go nicely with the sage and onion stuffing.
Yorshire pudds, icecream ad syrup!
they are quite nice as a pud with some golden syrup! i know this will be controversial, tho x
