Who knows, Hawksley. We also send millions of pounds in aid to Pakistan to help educate them. But does it work . . . .?
No idea how it's paid for, but doesn't sound a fair trade!
I think F1 pays to hold races in each country, and the money generated by these races must be quite a boost to local industries and traders.

I don't think you can lump aid for the poor with racing for the rich.

We all make mistakes jno, Inida?
I assume that the organisers make money from organising it. Anyone, it will be the sponsors/organisers who are paying for it- it won't be the aid organisations who get the money.
Anyway, not anyone.
just that you might get more of a response in (say) News or Sport; nobody comes here looking for threads about motor racing.
