I have a friend who has a young, small, male dog who is forever escaping from his dog run even though the fencing is dug very deeply.
Are there any good ideas out there of what more she could do to prevent his escapes. He escapes by digging under the fence.

Thanks Nessie....
If it's a young dog it may well be spending too much time in the run and be bored and looking for company.
my new six month mongrel mut has been captured by someone who phoned to say it would cost £250 to have him back after one days keep. He's a cross terrier and the price rises at £30 per day. I cant afford the ransom and as they have a mobile I cant nick him back. He is now stolen property and the police arent any help.

Why is the dog in a dog run?

He's there so my friend who is handicapped can put him out safely. She lives in the countryside and has no safe garden. He does get a walk twice a day but the dog run is for the in between times.
