Animals always moult when it starts to get warm - all you can do is keep grooming them.

"My staff"?

Thanks for the advise, "my staff" - it's the people that work in my house
You can buy a hoover attachment which you can practically hoover your dog with....

Mines hates the hoover though so no chance!!
We've got a Meile cat and dog vacuum cleaner - it's excellent.

Sounds good, can I use a normal vacuum cleaner too?
No, it replaces your normal vacuum cleaner, does everything (except hoover the dog :-)
All you can do is keeping combing and brushing the dog.(I have kennel grooms to do that; ignore asides about staff. Honestly!). Then you can reduce the amount in your home by quite a bit but you'll never stop it altogether.

Left to nature, without central heating in the home, dogs only moult seasonally. Now they shed hair all the time, with extra amounts seasonally (I think;it's hard to tell with some)
It's the same with the catz, fred - they moult constantly these days.
We have a vax turbohoover and we just stand inthe middle of the living room with it, wave it about a bit, and all the hairs are sucked up. We do have wooden floors though. Upstairs, where we have carpets we have to work a bit harder but all the hairs disappear. the hoover is always full of matted dog hairs and we vacuum every other day. Get your staff a decent vacuum.
I've also got the Miele dog and cat cleaner and it is the best vacuum for picking up pet hair that I've had - that saying, my belgian shepherd moults continuously and seems to weave her hair into the carpet fibres - you have several suck strengths on the Miele which iare very useful.
Get yourself a furminator, brilliant.

Apart from the Wolfies we now have I have always hoovered the dogs, they love it, they just need to get used to it.!!

Ok I bought myself a Bissell machine with all the gadgets to remove dog hair, but after reading the instructions, they say that it's not to be used on animals....but the sales person said blablablabla....think I will any way try it, don't see any harm in doing so?
Ever thought of having the dog's sleep in a kennel.
No danger to your health then.
I have heard that Miele cleaners are not to be used directly to prevent displacing the animal's vital organs. Now whether or not it was possible, I don't know but it put my off using my cleaner on my dogs !!!
Ever thought of having the dog's sleep in a kennel.
Wash you mouth out with soap fred. What a terrible thing to suggest. Tsk!

Hoovers on dogs. What next?
A Furminator is the thing to get as per my link earlier.
