I'm good with Paddy's, micks for me is usually slightly less so, but if it's meant well you can call me whatever you like.

Nox. That's what I said in the other thread. If the person you are addressing as Paddy, Mick etc doesn't find it offensive then why do the PC brigade butt in.
You're right micmac, very little offends me that people call me, but anything can be offensive, it all depends how it's meant, not what words are used per se.
As I said it's all to do with how it's meant rather than what is said, my wife has on occasion been known to call me a bog trotter or a spud muncher (affectionately), now 'Taig' is another word entirely- can't think of a way that's ever been used to be nice to anyone. I'd be offended by that.
