In his beard!

Looks attached to his skin...like size of a popcorn kernal or a small bean? Brown in colour and soft....actually looks like sweetcorn kernal except brownish!!? And at the skin looks almost stitched in with black stiches! Wot the heck is it...tryin to upload a pic. He isnt growling or flinching when i touch it so must not be sore! X

Yes,afraid so!
definitely a tick - remove as per youtube links given -
dont mean to worry you but yes, when my daughter was small she picked one up in The New Forest, she came into bedroom the following morning stating she had got a mole on her tummy. Applied Vaseline and a dressing, seemed to get rid of it. Not sure is vaseline if safe to use on dogs

Ok guys. Ill do it myself i thnk. Ill get the frontline.

My poor wee baby. Hes just been all cut last week thank GOD ...i think thats the only one.

Omg. If i find one on me ill DIE
That's why when you go walkies in the countryside you see all these people
in weird dress [trousers tucked inside socks]. To stop you getting the
blighters!
Definitely a tick. Your vet will remove it very easily and chuckle as his/her cash register chinks.

Ill go for it. Wait till my dad comes in....and erm try not to tell my mum she will bloody die off...he was lying on my bed earlier, change of covers for me!

My wee baby :0(

Is it likely to be just one!. Thank god we got him trimmed. X
apros the answer about smothering the tick with Vaseline - new thinking is that this causes the tick to regurgitate it's stomach contents thereby increasing the risk of any infection or disease transmission. It needs to be pulled out intact.
Mr. Cupid managed to get two off our cat safely without the need for hefty
vet bill!
Question Author
I feel itchy lol ... X
Thank goodness my daughter survived carmalee. Would never forgive myself. used vaseline because i read it suffocated the little bxxgers. You learn new stuff every day. LOL
I'd still go to the vets, I'd be too scared of not removing it all. Worth the expense to me in this instance.

surgical spirit works then a tug with tweezers.....our goldens often got them, even after frontline..Something easily picked up from fields or in one case we reckon the local kennels ........
Question Author
I read on a link lottie gave me spirit?
Where do i buy that? All i have is hand gel from hospital lol!

If i get it out then use frontline hopefully ito be ok x
Vodka, Gin, Bacardi are all spirit.

That's what we use. Don't be tempted to have a quick slurp though!!!
The spirit will help kill any germs too.
sallybb - don't worry I lived in Africa for many years and used the Vaseline method on the dogs, cats, horses and children! Must have smothered millions of the blighters without any worries - but 'new research says'...........!
