when we first moved into this house in the 80's, I went out for the day and when I came home, the dining room window was absolutely covered in flying ants, I never did find out how they got in and saw no more ants, I just assumed that there was probably a nest in one of the air bricks and it was one of the days in the year for the flying ants to take to the skies, unfortunately, none of them did :( Have your parents had a problems with ants in the past and are the flying ones still there?

If you are determined you will find the nest, not usually difficult. just follow a trail back where they are coming from, usually inside of an exterior wall, under the fire, just keep looking. As a pest controller I was tracking them down frequently, I would usually locate it in about 2 minutes, no skills are required. Then as Tambo suggests blast that powder into the nest and around the skirting board.
Good luck |
