My dentist has just rung.....

to ask why I haven't been to see him for 2 years........
Do I say it's because I can't stand pain or it's because the last time I went it cost me �1200.00!!....................
Any tips on overcoming fear............

VALIUM ALL THE WAY FOR ME COS IM A WIMP AT THE DENTIST ,also prevention is better than cure , checkups are vital .... good luck if you go for a checkup xx

Oh God I feel for you. I've not been to the dentist in years because I'm terrified of them. I've been lucky up to now as have not bad teeth but recently I think a filing came out or somehting and I'm in a little bit of discomfort. I know I have to go but the thought of that injection to the mouth and then the noise, and the discomfort and the pain (that injection does not numb everything)... Well, the hobo yellow teeth with gaping gaps could look quite chique really, right?!

smashing up the reception would have been cheaper......last time it cost �1200.00 for 2 crowns. I often think he is just looking for work to do to charge me money...I'm sure if he can't find anything wrong he'll start wanting to replace existing fillings for something to do!!

Tell him your bank account is still recovering from the last visit. He will be wanting to get yu off his list - they do that now if you haven't been there for a while - 2yrs is a long time, my dentist will strike you off if you leave it for 1 yr, so I have to go every 6 moinths.
I live in fear of having to have anything done - I had a gold crown fitted on the NHS and it cost 260 quid. If you aren't on benefits and you don't have much money, your teeth can rot in hell as far as they are concerned, it seems!

well angel I used to deal with bankrutcy cases and in the 5 years I did that job only 1 dentist was on the lists.....and only 'cos he owed thousands to a Leeds casino........so there's not many poor ones about...
