I know its 2 points per pound spent in Sainsburys but does anyone know what you get for buying Euros from the Travelex desk in Sainsburys. I spent £60 for Euros and got 3 points!!! This after being told I did not qualify for any points "because I had not spent enough" If its 1 point per £20 spent they can stuff it. I got 6 points for re-using my carrier bags.

I can't see you getting the full rate of 2 points per pound for buying Euros as all you are in effect doing is withdrawing cash. You wouldn't get 2 points per pound on a cash withdrawal. Maybe you just got the 2 points per pound cashback on a £1.50 commission charge. That sounds about right

I can answer my own question now. For every £20 you change you get just - wait for it - 1 Nectar point. And they have the cheek to advertise that they give Nectar points!!
That sounds about right, terry37key. I can't see why you would expect much more than that. It's pretty much the same as a cash withdrawal- you wouldn't expect the cashback on the full amount withdrawn of a cashwithdrawal. The best advice is to get quotes and shop around
I have today purchased £500 in euros and received on 20 Nectar points - not worth making the effort to travel 20 miles to purchase them.
Have today (5 May 2011) purchased £500 in euros and received only 20 Nectar points. It wasn't worth time and money travelling 20 miles to purchase them.
