As with many other's I find AB very useful when looking for answers to certain questions but it falls down slightly when looking for something specific.

For example I may have a query about my iphone but my query may have already been addressed in an earlier post but unless I have hours to kill (which most people don't) to trawl through every post in that section there is no way to jump to the correct thread.

Would it be possible to include a search function on AB so that I could type in iphone (for example) and that would bring up every thread which iphone in the title or something like that? It would also eliminate the duplicate posting which we see from time to time.

Not sure how easy this would be to impliment but I'm sure you would agree it would be very useful!!

Kind regards

have you looked at the top of the page where the search box is?
This already exists. The search box is at the top of the page.

I have looked there but it doesn't seem to be a free-type section, simply it gives you some options which you can select but if that does not relate to the question you have in mind it's no help. Unless I'm being totally stupid and missing something (which could be the case!!)
Well I put in "iphone" clikced on site and pressed search and got dozens of results.

Are you using the box with categories already filled in scrolling along? It's the long box at the top you should use.

Ahhhh I see (said the blind man!!)

Ta very muchly - not quite sure how I missed that one!!
I guess you missed it because they have two search boxes next to each other with no explanation of what the difference is. A masterpiece of web design, that one.
That's because they want you to click on the sponsored links rather than searching in the normal way.
Thanks Chuck and another-view. I never knew that. There's something to learn all the time
