Morning Boaty is it Saturday already lol. We have had a few "traveling" folks turned up on our local park yesterday, police have already been but will take 1 or 2 days for them to get evicted. Claimed that gate was unlocked, but I think angle grinder may have unlocked the gate.

My tv weekend is already planned with Tour de France and British Grand Prix and maybe a bit of wimbolmen mixed in

I usually do. :o} I've got some kitchen knives that need sharpening, I can do that while I'm watching the idiot box.

I mentioned to Jen the RAF base you were stationed at but her father was never stationed there. He was in charge of fire fighting.

I tend to sharpen knives on a steel each time I use them.

An essential and highly skilled job! I've got a lot of respect for fire fighters, especially on military bases.

When you use a sharp knife, the edge bends over a wee bit, the steel straightens that, but it can't put the edge back when it's worn down a bit, that's where the stone comes in.

Yes stone will be better then. I have a small machete that I use in garden, always do newspaper test.

I do the newspaper test too. It can't lie!
