We're making some changes to The AnswerBank. You may have noticed that emojis now work and you can make your text bold and italic

There were some issues with old versions of Safari which should now be resolved. If you still experience problems, please try clearing the browser cache and cookies. If Safari continues to be problematic, please ensure you're using the latest version.

To use emojis on mobile, please use the emoji keyboard installed on your phone.

Links should now be clickable.

If you have any other issues, please let me know using this thread.

Thank you for your patience.

Damn, just put this on wrong thread

Thanks ABSpareEd.

On a quiz thread I was trying to attach details of a Wiki site explaining what an Empire Bisuit was, but all I got was

Empire biscuit - Wikipedia

rather than what I had copied

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Empire_biscuit

Hope that's understandable.

anneasquith, we don't mind members using the emojis to play games. Gaming is already a category that could be used and Quizzes & Puzzles is also an appropriate category.

I understand, Captain2. Does it continue to happen?

^^^ I typed that https, it isn't a copy and paste.

Question Author

Could you try to do a URL copy and paste again on this thread, please?

Empire biscuit - Wikipedia

^^^ that's the C&P version

What browser are you using, Captain2?

What's the difference between an Imperial, Empire or German biscuit?

'Gar Nichts'

Though one could say The North Sea or Dutch Waffles....

It looks like a cross between a Jammie Dodger and a Cherry Bakewell.

well the link works even though it changed colour during the course of the third line.....from red back to black

Using Edge, no problems elsewhere, have cleared cache, etc.

Will have another go later. Thanks ABSpareEd.

SpareEd - I've got the same as Captain2 - I just tried a link (from a Bookmark) I used last night in an answer.  If I copy the B'mark into the answer box, I get -

In Chancery

instead of -

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/In_Chancery

F'fox + Win 10

Same result in the answer box on Edge & Chrome

How does one 'clear a cache'?

This is how itworks for me on chrome hopkirk.

On my address abr theres 3 dots at the right , Click on that . From the list that comes up click on History, then click again on History then on Clear browsing Data

Thanks Bob

It will probably mean you got to sign back into Answerbank so make sure you know your password first if you usually stay logged-in

Just trying a Youtube link. If that doesn't work the weekend is cancelled.
