1. It's sunny, and there's oodles more sun heading our way. What a great summer we've had this year, all in all.

2. Our house is going on the market today and it's another positive step in the right direction when it comes to buying a lovely new house in a superb area on the edge of vast countryside. I've been banging my head against a brick wall trying to convince my beloved that we need to have our house sold before we can have an offer accepted on a new property, particularly when so many others are always interested. I think the penny has finally dropped!

3. We're going to have a lovely family weekend together. No grand plans, just chill out and have a cooked dinner on Sunday.

4. I've been re-watching Dynasty - one of those series I remember and love from my childhood.

5. The urchin is asleep, which affords me a little time to make this place spick and span.

No work til Wednesday!
It's a lovely day, I am getting rid of all the nursing equipment, I have a head full of happy memories
1 It's Friday and yes the sun is out
2 Only 1 more week before I'm off to my beloved Menorca
3 Pre-holiday shopping this weekend - huge sums to be spent on the cosmetics and superdrug type places + beach clothes type places
4 Uncanny - I never watched Dynasty first time round but I have been recording the 10pm episode every day and watch it the next day for the last few months - love the over the top clothes and make-up, gorgeous men (Steven, Dex, Adam..) and really funnily outdated.
I have my sister from Canada with me. Spending some quality time sight seeing in Dorset. The weather is beautiful. We've never laughed so much!
1. new house is finally clutter free ....no more ****boxes
2. we are now mortgage free ..yippee
3. officially retired...double yippee
I didn't have to tick any boxes, or accept anything to get in here this morning :)

That's always a reason to celebrate, Rocky.

Rowan, you were perfect for each other and should imagine you made an astonishing amount of happy memories in the few years you had together.

Prudie, if you see Sqadlet, give him my love ;)

Patsy, Dorset is a beautiful country. I would love to be there now eating al fresco and sipping wine, watching the world go by.

Volty - life begins where the mortgate ends. Enjoy!

That's a bit cryptic, ferlew...
Good for me then, We only have two years of mortgage left :-)

I'm not cheerful at the moment. Hay fever is worst in the mornings.
1. The younger alba starts a new job on Monday
2. He was offered 2 jobs yesterday (never rains but it pours lol)
3. Going food shopping (first time out of the house this month - yay!!)
4. Daft kitty is asleep on the window-sill and looking cute.

ummm, sorry to hear about the hay-fever, it's a b, to say the least.

We've only got 7 years left, Ummmm. We could wipe it out now but our savings are going on a bigger place.

Get the honey down you. It's better than any OTC meds.
1. I have waged war on boxes and clutter this week. We are now almost a box free zone (apart from a few in his study, but I'll let him off because he has been working on the garden).
2. Because we are almost straight I can now get a cleaner in.
3. Got some good bargains at the garden centre yesterday so with those and the plants I ordered I shall be able to plant up the last two beds (and at least then the drive will look less like a small branch of Wyevale).
4. I get to pack up early today and make the cake for my grandparents' 70th Wedding Anniversary on Sun.
5. My new office furniture arrived.
6. And it is a glorious day. Not a cloud in the sky and all I can hear is birdsong.
1. Spent a wonderful week with my ex partner, met his new partner, who is LOVELY, so had a lot of happy recently. Love him to bits.
2. Losing weight at the right rate for the new thing I'm doing next year.
3. Totally and besottedly in love with my new man. Never felt like this about anyone, scared stiff it'll go wrong though.
4. He's coming to stay with me for 3 days in July in my dad's primitive little beachside cottage in Ireland, then I'm going back over there for a couple of weeks.
5.We have a heatwave coming up ( not that it will help my pasty self).
6. Going out on my motorbike later to seek out a nice lunch spot.
7. Going to try to cook authentic Japanese later ( wish me luck with that).
8. Things are just nice for a change.
2 reasons to be cheerful

The first is the music/camping/beer/cooking outdoors weekend. (all of which I love)

Set of home last night straight after work and made record time to the chunnel But...

Something triggered the magic wand the border police run around parts of your car. I had almost the full monty treatment. The car was sent through the scanner (I thought they will send me on my way after this) NO, wrong. ''Drive in the garage please''
Did that and six guards descended on my car.

Meanwhile, the chap who instigated the event grabbed a pair or surgical gloves :0/

''come with me'' :0(

Thankfully he was just leading me away from the car to a seat whilst he joined in the search

So the second reason is not getting an internal examination from the French border guards.

:0)

Nightmare Talbot. I always get stopped at airports, nothing like what happened to you, but I always panic even though I know I've done nothing wrong.

You are still just a child.....you will fell this way about blokes a few times in your life.
She's not a child!
LOL....^^^
I doubt it Sqad, I am young but not an absolute baby still, and much as I loved my ex partner ( and I did, and I do) and the man before him was wonderful too, no-one has come close to this guy, this is very different, and tbh if we split up I wouldn't want to feel like this again, it's too vulnerable and tbh I don't like it, it's not my usual MO, so if this goes belly up- never again to this extent.
1. The sun's out

2. I have some new carpets

3. The horrid decking area in my garden has been 'astroturfed' and looks brilliant - very convincingly grass like - but won't need mowing

4. I seem (even after paying for 2 & 3) to be reasonably solvent this month

5. Holiday plans starting to come together - although a period in Switzerland may mean that (4) is in jeopardy
