Good afternoon,

Just to let everyone know - we've just put the site tweaks live. These are all very minor performance changes, but if you see a different, please let us know.

We've also removed the sharing buttons from questions as they could, sometimes, cause the site to slow down.

Anyway, let me know how you get on.

Have you done some tweaking with the youtube links? It seems pretty hit and miss as to whether they work.
i find the same, sometimes the youtube won't open at all. or are slow, the cursor going round and round, then nothing.
Sub-categories no longer remain open after one has been visited.ie, click to open "Home & Garden", click + to open DIY, visit a topic, return to Categories and "Home & Garden" has closed up again. The site is getting steadily less user-friedly.
Like bhg481, I think the issue of accessing categories has made the site far less user friendly too. Unless there's something interesting in 'Latest Posts', except for Society & Culture and Religion & Spirituality, I rarely look at those that aren't 'clickable' on the main page now.
I'm fine with the site, though I do think that this box could be a little more prominently presented...the number of times I have gone to the question box.....any chance of making this slightly larger and perhaps intensify its blue border by a thicker line?
I completely agree with Naomi. I know my old favourite sections such as B&F, J&E and Music are only a click or two away but "out of sight is out of mind"- clearly many of us are not bothering/forgetting to look or are not aware that this can be done as there is very little traffic in there.

Good, they made the OP look disjointed.
I agree about categories, I hardly ever look at them now plus am I the only one who has hit the report button masses of times in error? it's huge and on autopilot I think it says reply.
I've done that a few times, Prudie. And I've typed in the Question Box when I wanted to do a search.
I've also found since the revamp that after I move onto a page the screen suddenly moves about 1 cm after a few seconds so when I try to click on one question another opens. Maybe that's my laptop, I don't know
That happens to me too, FF. The screen is very jumpy. I know latest posts move down, when a new one is added but it didn't seem to jump so much on the previous site.
The tweaks may have caused a problem in Edge

I'm starting to get 'recover webpage' again which I didn't at first.
Ive been getting 'recover webpage' quiet often as well.
^ Used to happen a lot with the old site and then seemed to have disappeared with the new one, but is now back !
Can you tweak the No of answers please, it shows 0 answers but when I post an answer quite often there are already a few answers there.
I find having to exit a thread to see the latest posts bit, an annoyance. Can't use the latest posts list to simply go from thread to thread any more.

Also difficult to find the search box any more. It is also something that could be "tweaked" to make it more prominent.
OG I found that about latest posts when on a tablet but after some while realised they are all at the bottom of the thread you are reading.
Funny you should say that, just discovered them there along with the search function. Not where one would expect though. Cheers.

Probably seen it there before but forget it's there where I'm not expecting it. And I'm about to re-search that home page for the search box too.
It's hiding: in 'View All Categories' !
Thanks Ed !
