You've all seen those Facebook and Twitter posts about things you used to see in the past like the Corona Lorry, Jamboree Bags, Texan Bars etc

Someone at work today came up with some classics you don't get much of nowadays, Heavy Breathers on the telephone, Flashers, White dog poo, Kids hanging on the back of ice cream vans

A donkey stone was a type of scouring block, used mostly in the mill towns of the North of England to clean stone steps.

Donkey stone was a block of grey coloured stone (or you could get Cream stone which was more of a yellow colour. You wet your doorstep, and then rubbed the donkey stone over it, then wiped it with a wet cloth and leave it to dry and it made your doorstep look like new. It was always my job to do the front door step with donkey stone.
