Upgrading Windows

I am currently running Windows ME, and want to upgrade to Windows 2000. Is it just like installing another piece of software, or will i have to reinstall all my drivers and games and programs etc?

converting mpg/avi to play on dvd

anyone know where or how to convert mpegs and avi's so they play on a dvd player?
