Immigration - Recourse to public funds

hello there .. my wife is a citizen of India and is living in the UK under a 'spouse VISA'. the VISA states 'No Recourse To Public Funds' which is fine as we dont claim (or need to) any benefits....

I was recently married overseas (in India), do I need to register my marriage in the UK? I am a british citizen.

Spouse Bringing Savings From Another Country

My fiance (soon to be wife) has savings in India which she would like to bring with her (legally) to the UK. What are the tax implications? Maximum amount is approx ?15k
