Where is the most musical place to live in England

I want to live a more diverse and musicaly rich area where a lot of musicians live, but want to stay in the UK. Where do you suggest I start looking?

Where is the best musical community in the UK?

I am considering a house move and would love to find an area whare there is a thriving music scene, with lots of live music and interesting musicians. I love local pubs putting on live music nights...
