Critical Illness Mis Sold Advice??

Just realised the ppi deadline is close. I was sold Critical illness with life cover to Skandia (now old mutual wealth) by a Financial advisor 10yrs ago. I didn’t even have a mortgage or needed it....

I have American Express US dollar traveller cheques purchased in 2008. Can I cash them in still and where in the UK will they accept them?
